What do you have to do?

 

Either as a group or individually develop a web based presentation on a health related issue in your local region. For instance:

§   Are there too many fast food places in our neighbourhood?

§   Should there be more parks nearby for us to ride or walk?

§   What’s stoping us riding bike to school?

§   Does the media encourage healthy lifestyles?

§   Are football grounds too hard to play footie safely because of the drought?

The presentation will be judged by a panel of experts including Dr. Karen Swabey (Academic Advisor for national magazine Education Connect)

 

Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

* originality of presentation and ideas

* leads to sustainable lifestyles

* futures focus: includes your idea of what the future should be like for you and your friends

* identification of an important health issue in your community

 

 

Closing dates

Year 7 students: 5th September 2008

Year 9 students: 31st October 2008
